How do I select a call rule?

Open RULES and double-tap the rule you want. The selected rule controls calls when Normal Protection is active. A single tap only expands or collapses its options.

How do I enable a filter?

In RULES, go to FILTERS and double-tap the filter. A single tap opens or closes its settings. The summary shows selected filters, but the active rule determines which filters can actually block a call.

How do I enable Travel Mode?

In RULES, double-tap Travel Mode. Waiting means the automation is on, but the configured speed or Bluetooth connection has not activated the mode yet. A single tap opens the settings.

How do I share my location?

In MAP, double-tap Share Location. Grant precise location and notification permissions if requested. You also need a linked Google Account, a verified number and internet access. Without an authorized contact, the feature stays on Waiting and does not publish your location.

How do I create a schedule?

Open SCHEDULE and tap Add. Choose the days and times, double-tap the desired rule and filters, then tap Save. If it overlaps another active schedule, resolve the conflict before saving.

How can I get started without blocking my family?

Choose who should be able to call. If you need calls from couriers, doctors or other unsaved numbers, Unknown allows those calls subject to filters. Contacts allows Contacts, Favorites and the Allowlist. Double-tap your rule in RULES and check the header. Authorize call identification/blocking when Android asks. Arrange a test call and check LOGS. Avoid Block All: it also blocks family members and allowlisted numbers.

Does the app block WhatsApp calls or SMS messages?

Call Blocker X handles telephone calls delivered by Android to its call identification and screening service. It is not an SMS blocker and does not provide its own control over WhatsApp or other app calls. Use those apps’ own controls. The SMS used to verify your number is not a message filter.

Do I always need internet to block calls?

Saved rules and lists participate in local blocking decisions, and the app has cached Anti-Spam information. Without internet, community reputation data may be out of date. AI support, online backup, invitations, location sharing and route uploads require a connection. Android must still authorize call blocking. Check an arranged test call in LOGS.

Must I keep the app open? Why are there ongoing notifications?

You do not need to keep a tab open for call protection. Travel Mode, location sharing and route recording are separate features that can run while the app is minimized, with service notifications. A notification shows activity but does not prove every feature is up to date. Stop a feature using its control in the app, not by force stopping, clearing data or uninstalling. Android battery restrictions may affect background operation.

Is location required for everything? How can I reduce battery use?

Location is needed for Map, Travel Mode, Share Location and My Route according to the feature you enable. It is not the condition used to select numbers in a normal call rule. Turn off location features you do not use and disable Keep screen on in Map if unnecessary. CONFIG → Battery: Unrestricted opens Android settings with one tap to help background operation; it does not promise lower battery use. Names and effects vary by device.

How do I keep my settings when changing phones or numbers?

Before changing phones, double-tap CONFIG → SETTINGS → Backup and confirm using your Google Account and internet. On the new phone, link the same account and use Restore, then check settings and grant Android permissions again. Backup does not include call history or credentials. Android contacts are separate from app lists. Verify your new number if it changes. Old invitations and links are not guaranteed to migrate automatically; contact support before switching if you need to keep them.

Do I need to pay? How do PRO and ads work?

The current version uses the Free plan. Double-tap CONFIG → ACCOUNT AND PLAN → Plan for details; there is no PRO tab in the bottom bar. Subscriptions, billing and video rewards are not active yet. There are banners in Logs and Config and, when available, an interstitial at least 6 hours apart after a user-initiated tab change. It should not appear at startup, in the background or during calls. Test Ad identifies a test advertisement. Report unexpected behavior with the time and app version; do not click ads just to test or support the app.

How do I update without losing settings? What about the splash screen?

Use Update on the Call Blocker X Play Store page with the Google Account enrolled in testing when applicable. Do not uninstall to update: normal updates retain data, while uninstalling may delete it. Availability depends on the release offered to your account; the app does not yet have its own update alert. Check the version in CONFIG → INFORMATION. The custom splash screen should appear at the start of a new session, not when returning to the same one; Android may still show its launch transition.

How do I use Usage Tips to understand a control?

Double-tap CONFIG → GENERAL → Usage Tips to enable it. Then press and hold the assistant icon in the header, drag it to a card or text and release. Support receives that element’s topic to explain its purpose and gesture. A single tap on the icon opens support without dragging. If the answer does not match the screen, report the card name and app version. Not all controls use the same gesture.

Am I talking to a person? Can I ask for human review?

Automatic answers come from an AI assistant, not a person. In the chat, ask for human review and explain what remains unresolved. Otherwise, double-tap CONFIG → SUPPORT → Contact support and send your question or report. It is recorded for the team to review. There is no separate live-agent transfer option and no guarantee of an online agent or response time.

Who can see my data? How do I read the policy or delete my account?

Location sharing requires your activation and authorized contacts; it does not secretly access arbitrary phones. Backups and routes are linked to the account, and reports and support use online services, so not all data stays only on the device. In CONFIG → INFORMATION, tap Privacy Policy once for details. To delete your account, double-tap CONFIG → ACCOUNT AND PLAN → Delete account and read the confirmation. It removes the account and starts cleanup of linked private data; it is not needed to resolve an ordinary question.
